I wanted to dedicate a space for photographers on this blog. A place where I answer the most common questions, as well as place dedicated to ask those still unanswered.
Most common questions I’m asked:
1. Why film?
Well, I taught myself on film and love the organic process and results. I know when I’m shooting what the result will be. No post production required. I get to spend more time behind the camera than in front of a computer – which is where I would rather be.
2. Which film do you use and why?
My favorite color films are kodak portra 400 and fuji pro 400h. For balck and white I love Ilford xp2 400 and Ilford 3200.
3. What is in your camera bag?
My favorite, the Contax 645. A Nikon F100 with multiple prime Zeiss lenses. And the Diana F camera and Holga cameras for fun.
4. Where do you process your film? I use both Richard Photo Lab and Photo Impact Imaging out of Los Angeles.
